Ring joint update: three options to discuss with the manufacturer this week.

Current design issues

A short update from a member of the scripting team responsible for joints:

1. The grasshopper script that generates the morphologies of the connections still needs tweaking and improving.
2. Figuring out how to import labeling of joints from Rhino to SolidWorks.
3. Deciding on a method for importing the Rhino geometry into SolidWorks.

The joints are still being designed but we are now looking at the manufacturing process. This brings up a whole set of issues - from what software to use to the final assembly methods.

Roughly calculated, the pavilion weights 5 tons*, which is about one African Elephant.
The height of the pavilion, 3.7m, is also about the size of an elephant.
