FARMM's research program is organized into three main axes, with work in each coordinated by a team leader. Each axis is fundamentally interdisciplinary and many team members participate actively in more than one research axis.

FARMM researchers are actively engaged in the discourse surrounding technology relative to pure research, industrial application, pedagogy and philosophical inquiry. FARMM researchers have published and presented extensively on topics engaging technology from application to poetics to theory.

FARMM's major research axes are:

  • Remote 3D collaboration over advanced networks
  • Imaging & Simulation
  • Digital Fabrication
